I have now played tennis on a second continent. With all the rain they get here, the courts are clay. Interestingly the ball tended to bounce higher and deeper than concrete. The courts have less traction due to the gravely surface.
The courts were actually better a bit damp. They had greater give. When the rain does come, the ball definitely plays a heavier trajectory too. It is gets fun as the surface becomes less flat because the ball plays different angles.
